Exterior Deck Failure

This single-family residential structure, located in Golden, Colorado suffered a major failure to the exterior deck due to heavy snow.  AAG was responsible for evaluating the extent of damage associated with the failure and preparing repair plans for the rebuild efforts.

Roof Collapse

The Nederland Community Center in Nederland, Colorado suffered a roof collapse over the gymnasium portion of the facility.  AAG was retained to evaluate the extent of damage associated with the failure and to prepare repair plans.  The repair plans included a new roof structure to match the original design along with multiple repairs to various other building components and finishes.  Code upgrades were also included.

Silo Collapse

A Colorado Precast Concrete manufacturing plant located in Littleton, Colorado suffered extensive damage due to a silo collapse.  The silo failed at the base, falling through the roof and floor of the building structure.  AAG was retained to assist in evaluating the damage and to prepare construction documents for a temporary facility so that production efforts can be maintained.

Inadequate Parapet Detail

A multi-story office building located in Englewood, Colorado suffered water intrusion at various locations throughout the building.  One contributing defect identified included the inadequate installation of the membrane over the parapet cap, allowing water to infiltrate behind the weather-resistive barrier on the wall face.  AAG was retained to evaluate the existing conditions contributing to the water intrusion and to prepare repair plans for correction activities.

Deteriorating Building Components

This multi-family condominium structure located in Boulder, Colorado has suffered varying degrees of damage to various building components and finishes due to water intrusion.  AAG was retained to evaluate the existing conditions and to identify the cause.  Due to extensive water damage and mold which was identified at one unit during the investigations, AAG prepared repair plans to assist in mitigating additional damage.

Inadequate Support

The guardrail support post located at this multi-family condominium structure in Lakewood, Colorado was observed to be inadequate to provide proper support.  In performing an intrusive investigation, it was determined that the wood support post inside the brick column wrap was insufficiently attached to the building structure.

Ice Damming

This multi-family residential structure, located in Maplewood, Minnesota has suffered severe ice-damming due to an inadequate "cold-roof".  This condition along with the profile of the roof in relation to the locations of the entries also results in potential life-safety issues.  AAG was retained to evaluate the existing conditions causing the ice-damming and assist in establishing corrective measures to minimize and isolate this occurrence.
